Survey process and timing
Once a survey has been booked, the process is very quick and easy. It entails the following:
- For the qualitative aspect of the assessment, we conduct one-on-one confidential interviews to surface the key ethical issues to be used as additional, customised survey questions.
- The organisation defines the further customisation criteria: branches, departments, work levels, values and key stakeholders groups.
- The organisation defines the start and end dates of the survey. We recommend that smaller surveys run for 5 working days and bigger surveys for 10 working days.
- We set up the customised survey and provide the hyperlink for the survey.
- The organisation notifies all employees/respondents of the survey, the survey dates, the intended outcome and confirms the confidentiality of the survey.
- We keep the organisation informed of the rate of survey responses so that, if necessary, employees can be encouraged to complete the survey.
- The survey closes on the agreed date and we analyse the survey responses.
- The detailed results are prepared in a PowerPoint presentation and a succinct Ethics Report is drafted.
- The survey results and recommendations are shared with the organisation’s top leadership to discuss the results and what actions can be taken to improve or strengthen its ethical status.
- It is also advisable to share the results and proposed actions (emanating from the executive briefing) with employees.
